Swan Lake was composed by Tchaikovsky in 1875-1876. The premiere in 1877 was a flop, but after his death in 1893, it grew into one of the most beloved ballets in the world. The theme of the white swans is one of the most recognizable melodies in classical music. The musical mechanism is mounted on a small wooden board, giving the melody a louder and fuller sound.
