The Internationale is the world-famous workers' anthem, composed by Pierre Degeyter in 1888 to lyrics by Eugène Pottier (written in 1871 during the Paris Commune). It is the most sung political song in the world, translated into dozens of languages. A special and historically charged music box! The musical movement is mounted on a small wooden board, giving the melody a louder and fuller sound.
