La Cucaracha is a traditional Mexican folk song whose origins date back to the 16th or 17th century. The name literally means "the cockroach" and the lyrics have known many variants throughout the centuries, from political satire to cheerful nonsense. One of the most recognizable and joyful Latin American melodies in the world! The musical mechanism is mounted on a small wooden board, giving the melody a louder and fuller sound.
