This music mechanism from Fridolin combines the timeless melody of Beethoven's Für Elise (ca. 1810) with the expressive work of the Austrian painter Egon Schiele (1890-1918). Who the mysterious "Elise" was, remains unknown to this day. Schiele, a contemporary of Klimt, is known for his penetrating and angular style. The music mechanism is mounted on a small wooden board, which gives the melody a louder and fuller sound.
