This musical movement combines the cheerful melody of the French CanCan from Jacques Offenbach's "Orphée aux Enfers" (1858) with the iconic Art Nouveau poster Bières de la Meuse (1897) by Alphonse Mucha. The CanCan became world-famous as the dance number of the Moulin Rouge in Paris. Mucha's poster is one of the most beautiful examples of the Art Nouveau style. The musical movement is mounted on a small wooden board, giving the melody a louder and fuller sound.
