music box | Free as the Wind | Van Gogh | Irises
This musical mechanism by Fridolin combines the serene melody of ‘Free as the Wind’ (Goldsmith & Harper) with Van Gogh’s painting ‘Irises’ (1889), painted at the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole asylum. The vibrant blue irises give this mechanism a picturesque appearance. The music mechanism is mounted on a small wooden board, which gives the melody a louder and fuller sound.
