music box | Beethoven | Für Elise | Egon Schiele
This musical mechanism by Fridolin combines the timeless melody of Beethoven’s Für Elise (approx. 1810) with the expressive work of the Austrian painter Egon Schiele (1890-1918). The identity of the mysterious ‘Elise’ remains unknown to this day. Schiele, a contemporary of Klimt, is known for his penetrating and angular style. The music box mechanism is mounted on a small wooden board, giving the melody a louder and fuller sound.
Dimensions approx. 8.5 x 4.5 x 2.6 cm
